I hate having to stand and balance myself while putting on my shoes. Taking my shoes form the doorway to the living room or kitchen just to sit down takes a lot of time. This is not recommended for people who are always late going to work in the morning. Placing an extra chair near the doorway is out of the question since it would be too crowded together with the shoe rack and umbrella holder.
